She was hidden from the world. Then he arrived.
An emotional new novel from six-time USA Today bestselling author Deanna Roy
For four years, I’ve lived in almost total seclusion. Homeschooled, forbidden from social media, seeing no one other than the dancers at Dreamcatcher Academy, where I teach ballet to little girls in wheelchairs.
Then Blitz arrives.
He’s the disgraced host of Dance Blitz, a bawdy reality show where Blitz sleeps with as many dancers as possible while looking for his perfect partner.
At least he was. A few weeks ago, he got kicked off his own show.
He’s at my academy for a publicity stunt, and my wheelchair ballerinas are his ticket back into the public’s good graces.
I intend to hate him and stay as far away as possible. But when he looks at me, I can’t resist. Before I realize what’s happened, we’re sneaking into back rooms, dancing, kissing, planning dates away from the cameras and the wrath of my family.
But I’m afraid. I have a secret at the academy, a small, wonderful, terrible secret, and if I stay with Blitz, the world will find out.
Forbidden Dance is a full-length standalone HEA, although fans who fall in love with Blitz and Livia can continue the series to follow more of their love story

What I like about the story:
Welcome to Livia’s Sheltered and Protected Life. I feel sad for Livia, who only studies at home, she doesn’t allow watching movies in theaters and she doesn’t have social media accounts and mobile phone. At the same time, I also envied her because her life is simple and though she might be hiding from the world, she is just a nobody who wants to have her freedom from her strict Father.
Everybody Goes Gaga with Ballet, Waltz and Dance Blitz. Livia specializes in ballet. She is very passionate with her craft and I admired her for continuing to perfect her dancing skills. The first time Livia and Benjamin ‘Blitz’ Craven waltz, I could actually picture it in my mind. It was a beautiful moment of two people who breathes and lives through dancing. There was so many issues and scandals with Dance Blitz, yet Livia became open on the spotlight where Blitz known for.
Hello Gabriella and the Dreamcatcher Academy! The dance school became Livia’s sanctuary. She teaches dance to kids who are in the wheelchair (my heart goes to them). One reason, she is really push to become part of it is Gabriella: her four year old daughter whom her parents sought for adoption. Sadly, Gabriella was involved in an accident which leads her to have a spinal cord injury.
Livia to Blitz
“I’ve had a wonderful dance with you, Blitz. Enjoy your limelight again and I hope find the perfect partner on your show.” –My heart to Livia!
Blitz’s kiss is the key that unlocks the secret diary of my past, every suppressed need, every hidden desire.
Blitz’s text to Livia
You make me a better man.
“This is Livia, and she’s my choice for my partner. And in life.” –You chose the right one Blitz!
“Don’t ever try it, my princess, my sugar plum fairy, my love. Because now that I’ve got you, there is no way I’m ever letting you go.”
How it ends:
Blitz picked a dance partner. Livia was not able to go back home. She finally confessed her deepest secret to Blitz.
I was smiling while reading the story and when I reached the last page, I was very delighted on how the Dance Blitz ended and how Blitz accepted Livia’s revelation. I enjoyed about dancing, the real thing on reality show and celebrity and the chemistry of Livia and Blitz on and off the dance floor. There will be four more stories after Forbidden Dance and I must stay that I’m actually satisfied with this one, yet there are still questions in my mind like: Will Livia’s father going to accept her again? Now, that they are dancing couple, what is next with Livia and Blitz? Is Livia going to introduce herself to Gabriella asking her real mother?
