I was privileged to watch the advance screening of one of the most anticipated films of 2016: Batman Vs Superman (Dawn of Justice)!
My friend invited me to see it last Wednesday (March 23) at Robinsons Movieworld Cinema 2.
Before the movie rolled, Director Zack Snyder, advised everyone not to spoil anything in their social media accounts with regards how the story goes and the special twist.
I won’t write anything about the film, but I am going to focus more with the characters and the actors who portrayed it from the most to the least favorite.
Are you ready to meet them?
1. Wonder Woman
Yes, she is not one of the main casts, but for me, she stands out between the two battling hunks.
Gal Gadot came as surprised to everybody. No one thought that she would be chosen to play Wonder Woman. It was my first time to see her in a film and I must say that I became an immediate fan of her.
She is perfect, very beautiful and powerful like the real Wonder Woman. I can’t wait to actually see her in her own movie next year!
2.2 Batman and Superman
Like Gal Gadot, Ben Affleck was also a shocker!
When it was announced that Christian Bale would no longer wear the black cape and suit, I was very forlorn. I liked him as Batman in Dark Knight Trilogy because he was mysterious and his voice fitted well.
Yet, I was also excited on how Ben Affleck attacked Bruce Wayne differently from the previous Batman.
He didn’t fail my expectations. He made me hate Batman at first, but he eventually let me like and understands him as the film progressed. It was refreshing to see a new side of the Bat of Gotham City. Props to Ben Affleck!
Henry Cavill is too suitable for Superman. Every girl swooned for him when he was Clark Kent and his bulging muscles and biceps was hard to resist when he wore the red cape! Seeing him again in this movie was awesome.
4. Alfred Pennyworth
He is the most reliable assistant of Bruce Wayne, who is very likeable. Jeremy Irons was a bit young from the former actors who played Alfred but I think he was able to convince me that his character was more than meet the eyes.
5.5 Lois Lane and Alexander ‘Lex’ Luthor
Obviously, I’m not a fan of Superman’s love interest.
Yet, I liked how Amy Adams shown the real Lois Lane. She was very pushy and not weak unlike the erstwhile actors who made Lois Lane quite unimpressive.
Jesse Eisenberg surely stole the spotlight with Superman and Batman… a bit.
I liked him as an actor, he was very smart and cool, but as Lex Luthor, nada. He was evil and very tricky, I enjoyed how his mind worked, but it didn’t click well for me. Sorry Jesse.
