Honestly, I haven’t watched Bridget Jones Diary and The Edge of Reason. Pity me! Yet, I became interested with Bridget Jones Baby because of the OST and the fact that it’s been 15 years since the first movie came out.
Luckily, I got four tickets for the special block screening of the movie last September 14 at Robinson’s Galleria Cinema 6.
Let’s go down to the list why or why should not catch this film on the big screen!
~43 years of age and am I ready to be a mother?
Bridget Jones (Renee Zellweger) was celebrating her birthday all alone in her apartment. She is not married nor has a child. Yet, friends kept on pushing her to have sex and have a baby.
~One-night stand with Jack Qwant!
A music festival and one hot stranger in bed, are you willing to give to the temptation? Well, Bridget is quite desperate, so she agreed. No strings attached, just pure sex. But, it totally got awkward when the guy he has a one night stand on is an American best selling author and mathematician. Way to go Patrick Mc Dreamy Dempsey!
~Hello again, Mr. Mark Darcy!
I hate guys who broke women’s hearts and Darcy is not a stranger. After 10 years of breaking up with Bridget, Mark (Colin Firth), got married, but suddenly popped up to Bridget’s life. First, during a funeral and the second was a Christening; is this a sign of destiny or disastrous all over again?
~Battle between the ‘Wannabe’ Daddies…
Bridget, who has sex with two amazing and handsome men became pregnant but she was clueless who the Father is. She told the good news with the two guys who accepted it in a different ways. One who becomes too obsessive and protective to be a Dad while the other one has too many responsible, but still tried to be the best Papa.
And the Baby Boy comes…
Are you #TeamJack or #TeamMark? Bridget is excited to meet his son, but she also wants to know who the real father is. Deep inside, she wishes one man and her prayer have been answered.
Quotable Quotes:
Jack: Do you still love him?
Bridget: I have loved him in the past, but I can love you, someday.
Bridget: What are you doing here?
Mark: I can save the world later, what’s important is now, you are my world. (My heart!)
Bridget: “Sometimes you just love a person just because they feel like home.”
Perksbewithyou ratings: 10/10 (My favorite romantic comedy this 2016! I love you Mr. Darcy!)
