I did it all for you…Cara’s boyfriend is dead.
When fingers start pointing at her, she knows she’s in more trouble than she originally thought. Because Cara can see that something isn’t right.
As her carefully constructed life begins to crumble, Cara isn’t sure who she is anymore.
But maybe that’s exactly what someone wants her to think…
Katlyn Duncan was born and raised in a small town in western Massachusetts. Her overactive imagination involved invisible friends, wanting to be a Disney Princess and making up her own stories. Her bibliophile mom always encouraged her love of reading and that stayed with her ever since. Even though she works full time in the medical field Katlyn has always made time for books, whether she is reading or writing them.
Katlyn now lives in southern Connecticut with her husband and adorable Wheaten Terrier and she is thrilled to finally share her stories with the world.

What I like about the story:
Relationship, Betrayal and Secrets. This story mainly focuses on these three things. For quite awhile, Cara was happy having a relationship with one of the popular guys in school, Joseph 'Joe' Blair and having a best friend like Kat, Joe's sister. But, the friendship and love that she was feeling was not real. She thought she really into Joe yet, she wanted to break up with him before his death. They were a lot of secrets with Cara and Joe that they just kept within their relationship.
The Killer, Ryan and The Adoption Case. Everyone pinpointed Cara as the murderer of Joe when the Detective found out that it was not a drug overdose. There was a crazy killer on the loose that wanted Cara. Ryan Deveraux was a breath of fresh air for Cara. He was a summer crush, but after Joe's death, she was not sure if she could trust someone and gave her heart again. It was a shocker when Cara learned that she was being adopted. She was Sylvia Angelov and someone thought she owned her.
How it ends:
Cara found out the killer and knew about her 'real family'. She brought justice to Joe's death.
At the beginning, I already had the feeling that a woman might be the killer. The reason, I had some ideas yet, I was not sure. I liked how the twists and turns in this story. I was excited and at the same time, nervous for Cara. She was clueless who the murderer was, but she held the key in finding the truth. I was happy about how the villain was portrayed here. She was obsessed and smart, yet I also felt a little bit sad about how she ended up. Wow! It has an open ending, so, perhaps, I will be expecting a next story. Job well done to Katlyn Duncan!
