Female Network. Com is the mobile Pinay's guide to news, tips, tricks, and more!
Registration started by 10 in the morning, but we arrived by 12 noon. I was one of the first 150 participants who were able to get free passes. We were given a loot bag as we entered the venue.
We were able to visit the booths and brands before the talks started. Our favorite was DK Lulu Tattoos and Tokyo Posh! Both of the booths had approachable staffs who gave helpful tips and information about their products. I love the tattoo bracelet designs and how the hair extension made us more gorgeous!
I pre-registered for the Session 4 talk (3:00 pm): How to Present Your Best Self and Session 6 talk (4:20 pm): Contouring/Strobing/Baking 101.
My friend and I were early for our talk and we caught the Session 3 talk which was about Beauty Blogging. I was glad that we were able to sit and listen to the speaker because I learned vital information about make-up. One audience asked about the expiration date of cosmetic products. It turned out that the expiration date that is written in every box or items of our make-up are effective once you open the lid or use the product not the time when you purchased it. Cool right!
The speaker of How to Present Your Self is the very lovely and well-poised Karen Agustin-Ostrea. She taught us the correct way of sitting and the stance that can make one’s body flattering.
These are the helpful tips that I learned from the superb talk!
- Always look like a winner. Remember that your image is important.
- Keep this in your mind: The ABC of your image- A (Appearance), B (Behavior) and C (Communication).
Karen ended her talk with A Formula for Success:
• 5 Seconds to make an Impression
• 21 Days to start a Pattern
• 100 Days to become Automatic
• 30 Days to forget a Message
• 66 % is forgotten in 24 hours
• 8 days of constant reminding for 90 % Retention
Thank you to Al De Leon for enlightening me with regards the difference of contouring and highlighting!
Contouring is to mold or shape while highlighting also known as Strobing/Baking is to emphasize or show.
My friend and I had a great time with the Beauty Con! We can’t wait for the 2016 Female Network.com’s Beauty Con!
